Lines of Engagement Conference: How Technology, Ethics and Trust Shape Photojournalism Today

    18 – 19 September 2025

The conference poses critical questions about what contemporary photojournalism practice is, what photojournalism education should seek to teach students and what in turn students might ask from a media that is fighting to stay relevant in the increasingly fraught attention economy.
Here, Edmund hosts Open Source Investigations – a conversation with investigative data journalist Crofton Black, with manager for Amnesty International Crisis Response Team Marija Ristic, and Dr Samaneh Moafi of Forensic Architecture, discussing how their rigorous investigations reveal wrong and they questioned how these findings can hold power to account.

Full conference presentations of six panel discussions are available to watch here.
